Robbie Mahtook is a managing partner of the law firm Mahtook & Lafleur, located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mr. Mahtook has successfully practiced law for over 40 years concentrating in casualty, liability and maritime defense litigation matters. He has also handled cases involving insurance coverage, medical malpractice, trucking and construction litigation. He has recently completed formal mediation training at the Strauss Institute of Dispute Resolution of Pepperdine University School of Law.

Mr. Mahtook was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1985 and the Texas State Bar in 1995, bringing over 40 years of experience in litigation matters. He has a proven record of success in the court room as well as obtaining settlements for his clients. He graduated from Louisiana State University before attending Loyola Law School, and subsequently obtaining an MBA from Tulane’s A.B. Freeman’s School of Business. While at LSU, Robbie was a member and letterman on the football team.
Mr. Mahtook is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court; Middle, Eastern and Western District of Louisiana; and U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit. Mr. Mahtook is a member of the Lafayette Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
Mr. Mahtook is a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He is married to Judy Mowad Mahtook and the father of five children.
