Biography
PROFILE
Mr. Bourgeois is an attorney with The Cohn Law Firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has worked extensively in commercial and construction litigation. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2000 and is also admitted in the U.S. District Court: Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
With vast experience in litigation, focusing primarily in construction law, property disputes, business and commercial disputes, creditor’s rights, construction law, bankruptcy, and representing state and national clients in secured and unsecured lending, Mr. Bourgeois has tried and litigated hundreds of cases in nearly every court in the State of Louisiana.
In March 2025, Mr. Bourgeois completed mediation training through the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. While attending the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, he served on the Moot Court Board, received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in International Law and was a Flory Trial champion.
Mr. Bourgeois is married to Dr. Amy Hill Bourgeois. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Harper and Emma.
