Charlotte A.L. Bushnell

Charlotte Bushnell recently retired as a Workers’ Compensation District Court Judge where she worked for twenty-seven years conducting judicial hearings at the District 3, Lake Charles Office.  As judge, she held approximately 1,500 trials, hearings and exceptions. She handled over 4,000 settlement conferences. Prior to that, Bushnell served as counsel for the Calcasieu Parish Public Defenders’ Office. She was just appointed by United States District Judge James Cain to serve on a panel of neutrals to mediate cases arising from Hurricanes Laura and Delta.  She has served her community and the Bar through volunteer work on various committees and boards.
