William C. Helm

William Helm is a partner in the Baton Rouge firm of Kinchen, Walker, Bienvenu, Bargas, Reed & Helm, LLC. He brings over thirty-two years of legal experience to his mediation clients. With a general civil practice, Mr. Helm has handled trials and appeals in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and Mississippi. He has mediated nearly 300 cases in areas of Personal and Commercial Automobile Liability, Insurance, Negligence, Contracts, and Collections.

Mr. Helm was admitted to the Bar in Mississippi in 1991 and in Louisiana in 1994. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court: Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana; U.S. District Court: Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

Mr. Helm is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Mississippi State Bar Association, American Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He was also selected for membership to the Montclair Who’s Who in North America. While in law school he was a member of the Moot Court Board and recipient of the Alton Harvey Moot Court Award. Mr. Helm is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and adherence to professional standards of ethics.

Mr. Helm is a native of New Roads, Louisiana. He is the father of five children and is married to Elizabeth Wampold Helm.
