John W. Perry III

Jonathon Perry’s civil litigation experience includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants. He has served as a mediator or co-mediator in numerous cases. In recent years, his practice has increasingly focused on his role as a neutral, allowing him to gain experience dealing with issues such as case management, allocating settlement funds to class and mass action claimants including development and implementation of methodology, reviewing reasonableness of attorneys’ fees, and allocating attorneys’ fees including resolution of common fund/benefit issues.

Mr. Perry is a partner in the office of Perry, Balhoff, Mengis, & Burns, LLC. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2006, and proceeded to earn his law degree from the Paul M Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2010. Jonathon is admitted to practice law before all federal and state courts in Louisiana.

Mr. Perry serves as a court appointed neutral/mediator in the Hurricane Laura and Delta Claims for the 14th Judicial District Court, Calcasieu Parish, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mr. Perry is admitted to the Louisiana Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and former member of the Louisiana Sports Law Association.

Mr. Perry was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He and his wife Alex are the proud parents of their son Jack.
