Katherine M. Loos
Ms. Loos is the founder of Katherine M. Loos, LLC. She has had an active litigation practice for 30 years. From 1983 to 2010, she was a partner in the Lafayette firm of Briney & Foret. Ms. Loos has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of cases with winning outcomes. She has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout Louisiana and in Texas. She has been involved in the successful resolution of a variety of disputes including mass torts, toxic torts, product liability, premises liability, construction defect, automobile liability, insurance, and workers' compensation. Ms. Loos has also worked extensively on the resolution of many complex multi-party disputes. Ms. Loos has tried dozens of jury trials in many of the state courts of Louisiana and in U.S. District Court and has had extensive experience in the state and federal appellate courts. Her years of experience as an accomplished litigator, along with her natural ability to connect with people, enable her to achieve settlements in the vast majority of her mediations.
